Dr. V K Sathiyanarayan, M.Sc, DRP(BARC), Ph.D, is the Chief Medical Physicist at Ruby Hall clinic’s Radiation Oncology Department. With over 3 decades of experience as a Medical Physicist, Dr. Sathiyanarayan is adept in Treatment Planning, Delivery and Quality Assurance of the machines and the treatments delivered. Not only does he have an extensive experience in accelerator based stereotactic treatments but also was the one to introduce the frameless Stereotactic Radiosurgery in RHC, in 2015 using Siemens Oncor Impression Plus.

Among his many notable achievements, Dr. Sathiyanarayan has done some pioneering work such as, holding a joint patent in US, Europe & China on mixed energy beam IMRT, being instrumental in commissioning the first 3DCRT and demonstrating the first IMRT in the country, enabling Ruby Hall Clinic to bag the commission of the first MV based IGRT of the country.

He has enclosed more than 100 publications and presentations as a group author & more than 25 invitations to talk across the globe. Holds a joint patent in US, Europe and China on Mixed Energy beam IMRT. Throughout his career, he has continued enlightening the future of Radiation Medical Physics with his teaching endeavours.
