Anaesthesia

Ensuring Comfort, Enhancing Safety

The Department of Anaesthesiology provides customised treatment based on scientific data for many surgical fields like Orthopaedics, Gynaecology, General Surgery, ENT, Ophthalmology, Transplant, Plastic Surgery, Oncosurgery, Neurosurgery and others.

In addition, we fully relieve acute and chronic pain through our cutting edge post-operative pain management techniques that include nerve blocks, epidurals and continuous labour analgesia offered round the clock all year round.

Embracing current trends, we utilise advanced methods of general anaesthesia monitoring and have gas as well as invasive parameter monitoring systems to support CT, MRI, IVF, Brachytherapy and GI Endoscopy departments among others.

Specialised devices are available for performing nerve blocks and placing central lines such as portable ultrasound machines and fibre optic bronchoscopes.

Regular education sessions ensure continuous professional development.
