Dr. Gajanan Kanitkar is a surgical oncologist, who trained at India’s largest cancer treatment centre, the Tata Memorial Hospital. He also trained in minimally invasive surgery for cancer from Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Centre, New York, and Kyungpook National University, Daegu, South Korea. He has a special interest in GI cancers. He treats all cancers with a focus on minimally invasive surgery for cancers. He has many publications on his name in reputed journals.
