Dr. Neelkanth Karandikar, MBBS, MD, DM (cardiology), is a Consultant and Interventional Cardiologist at Ruby Hall Clinic. His expertise extends to all domains of Cardiology. At Ruby Hall Clinic, he is known to have solved a very rare case of Coronary AV Fistula with the application of Trans catheter technique. Dr. Karandikar has established many notable Firsts. He organised the first Conference in Pune on Echo Cardiography in the conference hall at The Ruby Hall Clinic which was received very well and the first one to use the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory & all the subsequent labs. He has used the first drug coated Cypher Coronary stent in the city of Pune. He is also known for his international teachings and trials like, Re-Dual PCI & Odyssey East. Having over 15 years of teaching experience, Dr. Karandikar has delivered lectures at the World Congress at Rio De Janeiro, Brazil, at Cairo Egypt and at 16th Annual International Conference on Recent advances, at Anaheim California, USA, Barcelona, Spain, Paris, France. His legendary career is not complete without the many noteworthy publications he has been a part of, some of the excellent works being, Clinical Profile, Coronary Angiography and Thallium Perfusion Study Patterns in young Myocardial Infarction Patients of Age 40 Years or below and Dual Anti thrombotic Therapy with Dabigatran after PCI in Atrial Fibrillation (REDUAL PCI)
