Dr. Sathiyanarayan has more than three decades of experience as a medical physicist and has vast experience in treatment planning, delivery, and quality assurance of the machines and the treatments delivered. He was instrumental in commissioning the first 3DCRT and demonstrated the first IMRT in the country. We commissioned the first MV-based IGRT of the country in Ruby Hall Clinic and have been promoters of MVCBCT. He has been a keen teacher of radiation medical physics throughout. Has a huge experience in accelerator-based stereotactic treatments. Introduced the frameless stereotactic radiosurgery in RHC in 2015 using Siemens Oncor Impression Plus. Functioned as a member in the committees formed by AERB on various aspects of safe use of linear accelerators and treatment planning. Functioned as the chairman of the College of Medical Physics of India. He has more than 100 publications and presentations as a group author. More than 25 invited speakers talked inside and outside the country. Holds a joint patent in the US, Europe, and China on mixed energy beam IMRT.
